Bendelex Psion
A grotesque parasite, the Bendelex looks like a slug wrought of carbonated, bubbling blood. Bendelexes reproduce when consumed by mammalian hosts. They absorb nutrients from their host for a number of days, and when ready, they burrow out of the host’s stomach. Bulbous and saturated with nutrients from their host, the Bendelex then splits into two new worms, which seek to continue the cycle.
Psions
Some Bendelexes manifest mild psionic powers after burrowing through a creature who itself uses psionic magic. These Bendelexes are capable of exerting control over their host’s actions and even their thoughts to some extent, and they often cause their host to forget that the Bendelex was ever inside them after the fact.

| Feed. If the Bendelex Psion has been consumed by a mammalian host in the last 24 hours, then that host must eat twice as much food to avoid risking Fatigue. This lasts for 2d4 days, whereupon the Bendelex Psion can use its Psion feature and may choose to Hatch whenever it wishes.
Cytokinesis. If the Bendelex Psion has emerged from a mammalian host in the last 24 hours, it may split into 1d4 new Bendelexes. There is a 75% chance that one of the new Bendelexes is a Bendelex Psion. Hatch. If the Bendelex Psion has been sufficiently nourished from its Feed feature, then it emerges from the host’s stomach, imposing the Bleeding 3d4 condition on the host. 1d4 minutes after the Bendelex Psion hatches, the host magically forgets that it was ever infected. Casting Lesser Restoration or similar magic on the host will restore its memories. Psion. The Bendelex Psion gains limited control of its host creature. It experiences each of the host’s physical senses. The Bendelex Psion can cast Dominate Person on its host 1/Rest. Worm. The Bendelex Psion can share spaces in combat with any creature that is Diminutive or larger, and can only attack creatures with whom it shares a space. | |||||
