Info
Created when a humanoid creature suffers the diseaseridden bite of a [[Spore Bat]], Dergue are often confused with true vampires due to their similar feeding patterns and their connection with bats.

Unlike their vampiric kin, Dergue are unbothered by direct sunlight, making it much easier for them to hide in plain sight. When a Dergue devour a humanoid victim, the dark, inky remains of the creature become a [[Slaugh]], a servant of the Dergue.

| colspan="6" |'''Slaughter.''' When the Dergue kills a humanoid, the humanoid rises 1d4 hours later as a Slaugh that is magically under the Dergue’s command as though permanently Enthralled.
'''Lifeblood.''' When the Dergue deals necrotic [[damage]], it regains HP equal to the amount of damage it dealt.

'''Limited Etherealness.''' When the Dergue damages a creature, it loses its Ethereal trait and cannot become Ethereal again for 1 minute.

'''Sanguine.''' For one week after the Dergue creates a Slaugh, it appears to be a healthy living member of its species. Physical inspection will not reveal its true nature, but any form of magical detection will.

'''Shadowy.''' While in dim light or [[darkness]], the Dergue gains +1 to all of its defenses. When a creature attacks the Dergue reactively and the Dergue is in dim light or darkness, the attacking creature must roll 2d20 and use the lower.

'''Spore Cloud.''' When the Dergue dies, it turns into a barely visible cloud of spores. It travels at a rate of 60 ft per round towards its mushroom bed. If it reaches its mushroom bed within 1 hour, then it rises again with full health and all abilities recharged after 1d4 hours. If it does not reach its mushroom bed within 1 hour, or if its mushrooms are burned, then it dies permanently.

| colspan="6" |'''Spawn (1/Recoup).''' The Dergue bites one corpse that has not been dead for more than 1 minute. If it would rise as a Slaugh, it instead rises as another Dergue after the set number of hours.
|-
'''Shadowy Thrall (Recharge 6).''' The Dergue summons 1d4 Slaughs, which appear in unoccupied spaces adjacent to the Dergue. These Slaughs each have only 1 HP, but take no damage if an attack misses them, even if that attack would normally do ½ damage.

'''[[Mesmerize]] (Recharge 5).''' ''Reach 20 ft Natural Weapon.'' +3 vs WILL. '''Hit:''' The target is Enthralled for 1 minute. Each time it takes damage, the target can make a DC 13 WILL save, ending the condition early on a success.
