Sometimes, when fiendish presences manage to perforate the thick wards surrounding Ancerra, they latch onto rotting carcasses, animating them in zombific fashion. Carcass Shamblers are mindless undead creatures that seek only to consume and to grow in size, for when they happen upon a kill that is not fresh, they can absorb it into themselves.

Features
Drawn to Blood. The Carcass's speed increases by +5 ft if it is moving towards a Bloodied creature that it can see.

Carcass Consumption. When the Carcass spends 10 minutes eating a corpse that has been dead for at least 24 hours, the Carcass's current and maximum HP both increase by 10. For each 30 HP that the Carcass gains in this way, its Size increases by 1 and it gains 1 additional monster action. Shambling Dead. When the Carcass is reduced to 0 HP, and is not reduced to 0 HP by a critical hit or damage to which it is vulnerable, the creature that hit it rolls 1d20. On a roll of 7 or lower, the Carcass falls Prone and regains 1 HP. On a roll of 8 or higher, the Carcass dies.

Actions

The CARCASS SHAMBLER can MOVE and take TWO of the following actions, or the same action twice.

Move. The Carcass can move up to its speed.

Rend. Reach 5 ft Natural Weapon. +4 vs AR. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) blunt. On a crit, the creature also gains Bleeding 1d6.
