Liopleurodon

An enormous cousin to the plesiosaurus, the Liopleurodon has a short, thick neck. It is carnivorous and its head resembles a crocodile more than a long-necked dinosaur, but it otherwise has a similar body to the plesiosaurus, with a plump torso and four fins placed roughly where a quadrupedal land animal would have its legs. Liopleurodons can grow to enormous size and usually patrol the continental shelf, fighting other enormous creatures like Megalodons over territory and prey.
