Forager
The BOPs in Supereon One are written with forward compatibility in mind, so they use sc as a monetary system. Remember to multiply this by 10 if you are using amber (a).
Occupation Tag: Wanderer
You are the backbone of burgeoning villages. Every day, you venture forth into the wilderness to gather herbs, pick berries, harvest roots, and catch small game. You earn a modest living, but without your dedicated labor, civilization would never advance.
Starting Equipment
If you take this profession when you create your character, you gain the following gear, in addition to the equipment you gained based on your background: Traveler’s pack, wood-splitting axe, leather armor, 1 herbalists kit, clothes (simple), hooded cloak, 2-person tent, mess kit, rations (7), torches (5), tinderbox, waterskin, 50 ft rope
Skills
Each time you gain a rank in the Forager profession (including rank 1), gain +3 Foraging, and +1 in three skills of your choice:
- Acrobatics: Contorting
- Athleticism: Applied Force, Athletics
- Crafting*: Alchemy, Brewing
- Knowledge: Biology, Geography, Vehicles* [land], Vehicles* [water]
- Luck: Scavenging
- Observation: Investigating, Perceiving
- Stamina: Distance Running, Forced March
- Subterfuge: Sleight of Hand
- Survival: Animal Handling, Nature, Navigating*, Sheltering, Tracking
Naturalist
When you become a rank 1 Forager, and every time you gain a rank in the Forager profession, you gain further insight in harvesting goods from land and beast.
Rank 1
Choose two of the eleven natural environments: Aquatic, Coastal, Desert, Forest, Grassland, Jungle, Mountain, Subterranean, Swamp, Tundra, or Volcanic. While in either of these environments, you can spend one day foraging for resources. You find 2d4 rations worth of food and 1d4 sc worth of spices that you can sell in any settlement.
Rank 2
Choose Hunter or Gatherer. This choice grants you additional abilities at this Rank and at Rank 4 of this profession.
| Hunter | Each time you use your rank 1 ability, you collect an additional 1d4 pelts. These can each be sold for 1 sc and and you gain 1 additional ration per pelt that you procure. |
| Gatherer | Each time you use your rank 1 ability, make a LUCK check. On a roll of 20 or higher, you find herbs and spices that you can turn into a Medical Kit. |
Rank 3
Choose two more of the eleven natural environments. You can use your Rank 1 ability in these environments, as well. You always find 4d4 rations when using your Rank 1 ability.
Rank 4
Gain one ability based on your selection at Rank 2 of this profession.
| Hunter | When you use your Rank 1 ability, you collect 1d6 pelts. Your pelts can be sold for 3 sc each and you gain a number of rations equal to the number of pelts your procure. |
| Gatherer | You find a Medical kit on a LUCK check DC of 18. Each time you find supplies for a Medical Kit, you gain 1 Goodwill. |
Rank 5
You can use your Rank 1 ability in any environment, and you always find 6d4 rations.
