Horse Whisperer

When you become a rank 1 Stable Sweep, and every time you gain a rank in the Stable Sweep profession, you gain more control over the beasts you ride.

Rank 1

You may find employment in any friendly city, barracks, or inn where riding beasts are stabled. If you spend one week tending horses in one of these locations you gain 1d10+5 amber and members of that business or organization will look upon you favorably.

Rank 2

You are an expert in animal care and gain +5 on attribute checks made to determine and treat any ailment befalling a tamed horse or similar equine. Additionally, your rank 1 ability now earns you 1d10+2 sc.

Rank 3

You are the master of wild creatures and can bring almost any beast to heel. You gain a +5 on attribute checks to avoid being dismounted. You gain +3 to Animal Handling checks when attempting to calm a panicked beast that can be ridden. Your skills are well known in certain spheres and you may now request an audience with any NPC with 3 or fewer ranks in a Militant or Wandering profession. Additionally, your Rank 1 ability now earns you 2d20+10 sc.

Rank 4

You now have 2d8 stable hands in your employ and care for 6d10 mounts of a specific political or military faction. This faction sees you as an ally and will come to your reasonable and legal aid within 5 miles of your place of employment.  Your Rank 1 ability becomes passive, earning you income regardless of whether you are personally working there or whether your stable hands are running your business in your absence.

Rank 5

Your line of mounts is so well known that nobles and officials from all around the region seek to purchase your stock. Your rank 1 ability now earns you 5d10+50 sc. Additionally, once per month you may attempt to sell a high quality mount. Make an AWR/Animal Handling check. Multiply what you roll by 10 and earn that much in amber for the sale. You may now request an audience with any NPC with 5 or fewer ranks in a Militant or Wandering profession.
