Dawn Roledo is a female dragonfolk researcher, something of a mad scientist, who lives in the Vulture Watchtower near the Flesh Pit in the middle of Nalathesh’s vast desert. She oversees systemic experimentation on flesh from the pit, maintaining a team of researchers that are responsible for such discoveries as the antidote to Fleshling Fever and the process of curing M’l’ykkri flesh into edible jerky - both carefully guarded and highly valuable trade secrets.
Dawn is friendly and professional when speaking with heroes about mundane affairs, but is guarded in any political questions. She simply states that she does not discuss political dealings with anyone outside of direct dealings with Nalatheshi nobility.
Dawn’s true personality comes out when the topic of conversation turns to the strange properties of M’l’ykkri flesh. She will talk at great length about the potential medicinal and military uses of M’l’ykkri flesh, if only she and her research team can peel back more of its secrets to bear.
Dawn’s research team and facilities are subsidized by an anonymous donor who has also instructed her to offer refuge to a certain Aradin the Witchblade if he should ever look for respite. This donor, unbeknownst to Dawn, lives thousands of miles to the north and is named Dracula.
He is greatly interested in her research, and in exchange for his donation, Dawn has agreed to share her findings with one Dr. Frankenstein, an employee of this anonymous donor. Dawn knows this doctor to be a remarkably intelligent scientist of questionable ethical credulity who maintains a low profile.
