[Back to creatures]

An enormous bird typically found in the desert or grassland, a Roc makes its meals of horses, camels, or even young bison. Enormous and ferocious with insatiable hunger, Rocs are terrifying predators. Some pragmatic nomads will send horses or sheep ahead of them on their trade route in an effort to preempt any Roc attacks.
