Thwarbler
Masterful ambush predators, Mimics can come in many shapes and sizes. Posing as mundane objects like chests, chairs, dishes, coin purses, and even doors, mimics use their innocuous appearance to ambush unsuspecting explorers.
Thwarblers are Mimics that have evolved to mimic not only a physical appearance, but also sounds and patterns of artificial light. They typically pose as candles or lamps, promising the comfort of seeing in the darkness. A creature that picks up such a light source, however, is quickly charred and devoured.
