Masterful ambush predators, Mimics can come in many shapes and sizes. Posing as mundane objects like chests, chairs, dishes, coin purses, and even doors, mimics use their innocuous appearance to ambush unsuspecting explorers.

Features
Unassuming Form. When the Mimic is imitating a common object and is motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal object of that type.

Ambush Predator. If the Mimic attacks a creature that did not know it was there, then it can target the creature’s ANT and rolls 2d20, using the higher.

Actions

The Mimic can MOVE and take TWO of the following actions, or take the same action twice.

Move. The Mimic can move up to its speed.

Imitate. The Mimic assumes the form of a small or medium sized household object such as a chest or barrel.

Bite. Reach 5 ft, Natural Weapon. +4 vs AR. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) Sharp, and make a secondary attack: +5 vs ANT. Hit: Target is Grappled. The Mimic can only Grapple one target at a time.

OR the Mimic can take the following action.

Swallow. Reach 5 ft, Natural Weapon. +4 vs FORT of a Medium or smaller that the Mimic has Grappled. Hit: The Target is swallowed by the Mimic and is Blinded and Restrained (escape DC 14). While Restrained, the creature takes 6 (1d12) corrosive damage at the start of its turns. The mimic can automatically hit a creature Restrained in this way using its Bite attack. The Mimic can only swallow one target at a time.
