[Back to creatures]

Vodyanoys are violent amphibious creatures that have spiked frills and sharp claws. They form colonies in shallow oceanic waters, bringing them into frequent conflict with seafaring merchant vessels and even more intense conflict with fishers.

Several Vodyanoy are particularly noteworthy as instigators of trouble between land-dwelling and sea- dwelling coastal settlements.

Hunter

Vodyanoy Hunters will often venture out of the ocean to hunt coastal creatures like seagulls, tidepool crustaceans, and creatures that make their home in brackish waters. They will typically not shy away from fighting humanoids whom they encounter.
