About the Podcast

The MythCraft podcast will be a high fantasy weekly round table + actual play podcast published on all major audio platforms as a part of The Homebrew Network.

• The time and day of recording will be determined based on the selected cast and what works best for everyone.
• The organization of the podcast will be based around Eastern Standard Time
• Not child friendly: content will be R / MA Rating+
• Age 18+ Only
• Discrimination free and diversity forward. LGBTQ+ friendly
• The Actual Play will be 1-2 hours and published weekly. The round table & MythCraft news & Announcements will be published monthly. Total time commitment will be 4-5 hours a week.

We currently have 2 cast positions available. The cast members positions will be unpaid until there is a revenue split available from the MythCraft patreon.

Currently there are no GM positions available. If you would like to audition for a GM position, please mention this in your audio/video submission and you will be considered in the future.

What we're looking for

• Great audio equipment and a quiet space to record
• Excellent internet speeds & hardwired internet (WiFi latency is a no go)
• Community-minded individuals who will not struggle with regular fan interaction
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication, Punctuality, Consistency, and Reliability
• Voice acting and role playing experience required
• VTT, or Online TTRPG experience

Bonus Points

Preference will be given to individuals who:

• Already have a social media following, or have marketing or social media experience
• Individuals who are active in the MythCraft discord (from the time of publishing this application)
• Have podcast or live play experience

Commitments

• Showing up on time and ready to perform weekly, and communicating schedule conflicts ahead of time
• Learning the MythCraft TTRPG system
• Remaining active in the MythCraft Discord community
• Contributing in at least one other area: Clipping, Social Media, Art, or Management

GM Expectations

• Excellent table management and storytelling abilities
• Top tier organization skills > improv. We're looking for a storyteller above all. This is not intended to be a comedy podcast or a series of bits.
• Experience with VTTs and online tools. The podcast should flow and have little downtime, which requires preparation and good utilization of tools.
• Learning mindset: We're looking for a showrunner who is constantly trying to improve themselves and be the best they can be.
• Willing to collaborate with Lead Game Designer on world design & lore, as the podcast should be set in the world of MythCraft.

How to apply

Please upload a YouTube video or audio file to Google Drive with the equipment you’d be recording with, and share with Grant on Discord: Dezx and join the MythCraft Discord.

• Your Voice Acting and Actual Play Experience
• Your experience with TTRPGs
• What you love about role playing
• About one of your favorite characters you've played, or games you've DM'd
• Referencing the "What We're Looking For" section, please describe your equipment, internet speeds, experience with voice acting, and soft skills, and any "Bonus Points" you qualify for
• Refencing the "Commitments" section, please describe your confidence in learning the system, staying active in Discord, and any additional contributions you will bring to the team
• If you are applying as GM - Please describe your experience running a game, and your philosophies with making a table the best it can be, and what tools you use

Please keep these ~5 or 10 minutes. You won’t be judged on editing or anything of that nature, however the quality of the Audio will be taken into account. If you have any questions, ask Grant (Dezx on Discord!)
