An amalgamation of animated limbs fused together in a blasphemous degradation of all things living, a Transcendent will use its many limbs variably to scuttle across the ground and to overwhelm its enemies. Each time it defeats a creature, it can absorb their limbs into itself, growing stronger and more dangerous. These abominations are created through malicious occult activity and are not naturally occurring.
A typical Transcendent will have the stats presented below, but young or old Transcendents that have absorbed fewer or more limbs might have slightly different stats. You can adjust the Transcendent’s Size and maximum HP down to reflect a younger Transcendent, or up to represent a larger one. Changing its HP will make it a significantly easier or more deadly monster. Some Transcendents might also keep the weapons that heroes had before they fell to the Transcendent, and when a Transcendent consumes a caster, it might gain the ability to use that caster’s spells that cost 15 or fewer SP, casting each one 2 times before it loses the ability altogether. It can only regain the ability to use magic by consuming another magic caster, which will give it access to a new set of spells. Giving a Transcendent access to such spells increases its Monster Level to 8.

| Immutable. The Transcendent cannot have its form changed against its will, but can change its form using its other features.
Amalgamate. By devouring a corpse, the Transcendent absorbs additional limbs into itself. This takes 10 minutes and increases the Transcendent’s current and maximum HP both by 10 (4d4). Blasphemous Visage. When a hostile creature starts its turn within 30 ft of the Transcendent and can see it, the creature must choose to look away or risk nausea. If the creature looks away, then the Transcendent is Hidden from it. If the creature does not look away, it must make a DC 14 INT check; on a fail, the creature is Sickened until the start of its next turn. Hundred Hands. For each additional 8 limbs (typically 2 humanoid bodies) that the Transcendent absorbs, it gains +1 monster action for the next hour.
| Actions | |||||
The Transcendent can take THREE of the following actions, or take the same action three times.
| Move. The Transcendent can move up to its speed.
Grapple. Reach 5 ft Natural Weapon. +3 vs AR. Hit: The creature is Grappled (escape DC 14) and the Transcendent can automatically hit with its Squeeze attack. Punch. Reach 5 ft Natural Weapon. +3 vs AR. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) blunt.
OR the Transcendent can take ONE of the following actions.
| Devour (Recharge 5). The Transcendent uses Amalgamate. This takes one turn instead of 10 minutes.
Squeeze. Reach 5 ft Natural Weapon. +3 vs FORT. Hit: 13 (4d4+3) blunt. If this causes the target to become Bloodied or reach 0 HP, the Transcendent regains HP equal to the damage it dealt.
| Reactions | |||||
| Trip (1/Turn). When a creature moves from within 5 ft of the Transcendent to more than 5 ft away from it, the Transcendent can make a Grapple attack. If it hits, the creature also falls Prone. | |||||
