INCOMPLETE DRAFT
An older kettek witch with ragdoll feline features, a pink nose, and piercing blue eyes, Tazqipy’s tall stature matches her strong, somewhat intimidating personality.
Tazqipy collects familiars in much the fashion that a cat might collect small birds or mice, although of course Tazqipy treats her familiars as cherished companions rather than prey. Her first familiar and the one with whom she shares the closest bond is a crawling familiar that takes the form of an albino weasel.
Tazqipy sees it as her personal mission in life to find people who have the potential to become great leaders or important figures. She will observe these people for some time, quietly testing them by introducing a series of convoluted challenges to her subject’s life. These challenges become more and more difficult and have completely altered the lives of some folk, including Cyrus Drake, whose parents died as a result of Tazqipy’s meddling.
Tazqipy would argue that while events spiraled out of control in that case, she believed that she saw great potential in Cyrus. Now, some twenty years later, Cyrus is a major national figure in Nalatheshi politics, and Tazqipy believes that he is causing a positive difference in Nalatheshi culture. Unsurprisingly, Tazqipy has a neutral or nonexistent stance on what is good and what is evil, as she is willing to commit traditionally evil acts if she thinks that the results will lead to good in the world.
Besides seeking out subjects to improve in her own twisted way, Tazqipy’s other driving motivation is to regain the trust of her mentor, a much older witch named NAME who abandoned her shortly into her training as a witch. Having viewed NAME as a surrogate mother, Tazqipy was deeply hurt by this abandonment and feels that it must be some kind of trial that she must overcome in order to be accepted again. Tazqipy hopes that by creating similarly contentious dilemmas for prominent individuals, she will catch the attention of NAME again and be able to complete her formal training - and more importantly, repair their relationship.
This makes Tazqipy something of a wildcard, and she may work with or against the heroes in different situations.
