Vampire Wine
Mythic Poison
Lethality: High
Transmissibility: Low
Application
A creature must consume Vampire Wine to become infected with this poison.
Symptoms
An infected creature gains the following symptoms at the start of each corresponding minute after initially consuming the poison. The effects are cumulative.
- Minute 10: Feel excruciating pain. Gain Staggered.
- Minute 11: Gain +1 Death Point.
- Minute 12: Gain Helpless.
- Minute 13: Gain +1 Death Point.
- Minute 14: Gain Bleeding (1). This can only be cured by successfully treating the poison.
- Each Subsequent Minute: Gain +1 Death Point.
Upon death, the creature’s blood remains potent for an hour, during which time any ingestion or exposure to an open wound will cause the poison to attack the new victim.
Treatment
A thick paste of fresh garlic and blood thinner must be injected directly into the creature’s veins. This requires a DC 26 INT/Medicine check. If this treatment fails, then the creature is beyond saving. If the treatment succeeds, then the poison becomes impotent once the creature has 7 Death Points.
