Many architects have utilized fearsome-looking statues crouching on the walls and parapets of mighty buildings, claiming that the menacing sentinels ward off evil. While a majority of gargoyles are truly nothing more than statues, some - especially those in Shadowcroft - actually possess great power. These creatures truly can ward off evil, though they tend not to distinguish between one morality and the next and typically attack anyone that tries to enter uninvited.

Features
Stoneform. The Gargoyle may spend 1 minute immobilizing its body into inanimate stone. While in this form, it keeps its HP, Perceiving bonus, and its Traits, but loses all its other features. It also gains DT 30.
Actions
On each of the Gargoyle’s turns, it may take one of the following sets of actions. Take two Tier 1 actions. Move and take one Tier 2 action.
Tier 1 Actions
Move. The Gargoyle can move up to its speed. Claws. Reach 5 ft Natural Weapon. +3 vs AR. Hit: 6 (1d6+3) sharp. Water Jet. Ranged 60 ft Natural Weapon. +0 vs REF. Hit: 3 (1d6) cold and 3 (1d6) toxic. Bristle. The Gargoyle assumes a stance that allows it to use its Bristle reaction.
Tier 2 Actions
Grimace (Recharge 6). 20 ft Cone Natural Weapon. +2 vs WILL of each creature in the cone. Hit: Creature is Frightened and Shaken until the end of its next turn. Snap. The Gargoyle emerges from its Stoneform.
Reactions
Bristle (1/Round). When a creature moves into reach of the Gargoyle’s claws, it may make a Claws attack if it used Bristle since the start of its last turn.
