Infection: A creature that has handled a chicken within the past day has a 0.1% chance of contracting Chicken Pox (roll 1d%, and if the result is a 1, roll again. On another result of 1, the creature contracts Chicken Pox). Once a creature has Chicken Pox, it can spread rapidly from person to person. Chicken Pox causes itchy, red rashes to spread over a person’s body. Coming into physical contact with these rashes allows the infection to spread to other creatures.
Contagion: When another creature touches a creature with Chicken Pox, make a +6 attack against their FORT. On a hit, the creature gains Chicken Pox.
Symptoms: A creature gains mild but irritating symptoms while suffering from Chicken Pox. It gains the following symptoms at the start of each of the following days. These effects are cumulative.
- Day 1: Demoralized
- Day 2: Suffer 1 TD on all d20 rolls
- Days 3-4: Chilled
- Day 5: No longer Chilled
- Day 6: No more TD
- Day 7: Full recovery
After recovering from Chicken Pox, a creature is Immune to Chicken Pox for the rest of their life. If they would contract Chicken Pox again, a creature instead gains Shingles.
Treatment: Treating a creature with Chicken Pox requires a DC 18 INT/Medicine check. On a success, over the next hour, the creature’s symptoms advance by 1d3 days. A creature can benefit from this treatment only once while infected with Chicken Pox.
