Infection: A creature can only contract Shingles if they have already had Chicken Pox at some point in their life.

A creature that would contract Chicken Pox a second time instead contracts Shingles. Shingles causes itchy, red rashes to spread over a person’s body. Coming into physical contact with these rashes allows the infection to spread to other creatures.

Contagion: When another creature touches a creature with Shingles, make a +6 attack against their FORT. On a hit, the creature gains Chicken Pox, or Shingles if it has already had Chicken Pox.

Symptoms: A creature gains excruciatingly painful symptoms while suffering from Shingles. It gains the following symptoms at the start of each of the following days. These effects are cumulative.

Day 1: Demoralized and Shaken
Day 2: Chilled
Day 3: Gain Fatigue
Day 4: Sickened
Day 5: Remove Sickened
Day 6: Remove Chilled
Day 7: Gain Fatigue, Demoralized, and Shaken remain indefinitely until cured.

Treatment: Treating a creature with Shingles requires a DC 24 INT/Medicine check. On a success, over the next hour, the creature’s symptoms advance by 1d3 days. A creature can benefit from this treatment only once while infected with Shingles, but if a creature receives two successful DC 24 INT/Medicine checks on subsequent days, it removes the Fatigued, Demoralized, and Shaken conditions on the 8th day (or one day later if it has already been 8 or more days).
