Observant heroes will note that the dramatic Avadrium artifact that roughly resembles a large ruby is still missing. They will not likely be able to piece all of this together, but if they interrogate Brent Brentson, they might. During the cave-in (which was staged by Brent, who is in cahoots with the thieves), and during the subsequent heist, another thief - Chazz Durant - snuck away with the artifact. Both the apprehended thieves and Chazz plan to deliver their goods to Mort Ironheart of the Ironheart Gang. While the thieves that stole the cart were likely stopped by the heroes, Chazz got away clean and is long gone.

Regardless of whether the heroes apprehended the thieves successfully or not, they level up to level 2. The heroes also receive 1 point of Goodwill in the Mercantile facet of Bridgemoor. At this point, their adventure proceeds to Chapter 3: The Underbridge Cult.
