|When you finish conjuring this spell, choose a willing creature within range. For the duration, when that creature takes damage, you take 1⁄2 of the damage in place of them.

Additionally, when that creature would become Charmed, Frightened, or Shaken, you may make a magic attack against the WILL of the creature that made the attack against your ally. If you hit, then the effect fails. The spell ends early if your allied creature moves out of range.
