When unsuspecting animals approach a muddy bank of water where a Bogwallower is hiding, it will ambush them, smothering and suffocating the creature. Bogwallowers can subsist through [[photosynthesis]], but they get most of their nutrients through preying on animals that stumble into their grasp.
